Sustainable Environment
Baldwin Richardson Foods is focused on providing the best quality and safest products, while being environmentally responsible. Our responsibility extends through the Supply Chain achieved by:
- Holding our Suppliers to a Code of Conduct
- Supporting Supplier Diversity
- Creating a Sustainable Supply Chain
- Innovation through sustainable packaging
We are also working to continuously improve our operations and reduce our impact on the environment. Currently programs are in place to:
- Measure, monitor and reduce our Carbon Footprint
- Improve our Environmental Performance through the reduction of water, conservation of energy, reduction of waste and recycling of materials
- Improve the performance of our Waste Water Treatment Facilities by installing systems that allow us to reduce the load on the local POTW

In order to achieve improvements in our performance we continue to invest in facility upgrades that provide economic and environmental benefits. Over the years we have been successful in improving the efficiency of our operations and have reduced the amount of energy produced per pound of product produced. In addition we have completed several projects such as: installation of energy efficient lighting, heat recovery and improvements to our wastewater treatment facility, all of which show our commitment to continuous improvement. We will continue to implement projects that provide a positive impact on our environmental performance.
